Message Notify is a today screen plug-in application that will notify you of all your unread messages, regardless of the folder.

Even though you may select to sync non-inbox folders with your device, the software provided with the Windows Mobile platform will not notify you that a new email has been delivered to these folders. Until now, the only way to tell that you had new emails in any of your subfolders was to open the mail app and manually browse the folder list.

Message Notify enhances the behavior of your Windows Mobile device to give you more control and notification options than the device provides by default.

Message Notify integrates directly into the Windows Mobile Professional Today Screen. Developed to be lightweight and efficient, this plug-in is loaded automatically at boot time, and displays the total number of unread emails in each of your email accounts, taking into account all folders and subfolders. In addition, MessageNotify can be customized to display the folders which contain the unread messages, allowing you click directly from the Today screen to the folder you are most interested in. As new messages are delivered, MessageNotify can be configured to notify the user through a customizable alert tone or device vibration.

Configuration Options & Features

Message Notify installs as a today screen plugin, which monitors all the folders of your mail accounts, not just the inbox. When new messages arrive, the today screen is updated with a real-time count of all the unread messages and will give you a customizable alert.

It's really that simple. The application will automatically find your configured email accounts, and will monitor all your folders, no matter how deeply they are nested. As new emails are delivered to your device, the application will update the Today screen with the new information, and play the alert that you have selected through the configuration options, shown above.

From the Today screen, you simply tap the account or folder displayed, and the device will open the mail application into that folder or account automatically.
