Message NotifyOverview Users who sync their mobile devices with a Microsoft Exchange or IMAP server, often use server side messaging rules to sort their messages into appropriate folders as the messages arrive on the server. Even though these users may select to sync these non-inbox folders with their device, the device will not notify the user that a new email has been delivered to this folder. Message Notify is a Today screen plug-in that will display the total number of unread emails in your email accounts. In addition, MessageNotify can be customized to display the folders which contain the unread messages, allowing you click directly from the Today screen to the folder you are most interested in. As new messages are delivered, MessageNotify can be configured to notify the user through a customizable alert tone or device vibration. InstallationInstallation of MessageNotify is very simple. - Download MessageNotify.cab to your device
- Open the File Explorer, and navigate to the location where you downloaded MessageNotify.cab
- Click MessageNotify.cab. This will launch the installer.
- If your device has external storage available (such as a memory expansion card), the installer may prompt you for the location of the application files. If possible, install to the device itself. Since MessageNotify is a Today Screen plug-in, the application files must be accessible to the device at boot time.
- Once the installer has completed installation, click "OK" in the upper right hand corner of the screen to complete the install process.
At this point, MessageNotify is installed, and ready to be configured. Displaying MessageNotify on the Today Screen
